NH Voices for Health Upcoming Hearings & Legislative Events

Governor John Lynch will host a signing ceremony for SB 392 and SB 505 on Friday, July 23rd at 1:30 PM in the Executive Council Chambers. All supporters of the bills are invited to attend.

The NH Voices for Health network was instrumental in the passage of both of these bills. SB 392 increases transparency regarding the health coverage costs burdening consumers, small businesses and the state; SB 505 establishes an independent, 22-month funded study effort with defined deliverables to review health care cost and pricing in New Hampshire and make recommendations that ensure transparency and fairness. Please be our special guest at an event honoring our partnership and shared accomplishments during the 2010 legislative session. Join fellow members of the NH Voices for Health network and the NH Oral Health Coalition as we celebrate our collective work protecting and expanding health care coverage for Granite Staters, and honor New Hampshire health care champions. Following a short speaking program, you'll have the opportunity to mingle with members of the NH Voices for Health network, NH Oral Health Coalition, state leaders and other health care advocates and stakeholders during a dessert social.

Join us for a combined children's health coverage and state health policy work group as we discuss what happened with priority legislation of the NH Voices for Health network and our partners, and start planning for the next steps on implementation work and study committees. This is also an opportunity to network with health policy stakeholders about your policy priorities and build support for any needed next steps.

National Health Reform Implementation Work Group

The passage of national health reform provides many opportunities to expand access to quality, affordable health care coverage in New Hampshire. Join us to learn about implementation opportunities and participate in an initial group discussion about how advocates in the Granite State can work together to promote strong implementation and further strengthening of national health reform measures. This is an opportunity to bring questions and network with other organizations about your priorities and plans in national health reform implementation.
